Digital Communications

Digital Media has always been a passion of mine. I learned how to create video, audio, digital art, image compositions, and user interfaces as a hobby. This ultimately lead me to top my digital media classes in high school and continue to study this passion at the Auckland University of Technology. Digital Communications was one of my two majors, I graduated in November of 2023 and aspire to continue learning as I build a career.

TUNNEL VISION Music Video

In 2021, I made a music video to accompany a single I released. This was a very beneficial project, as I learned a lot about how to match the tone of audio with the tone of visual art. I planned, produced and published this music video over the course of a few days (with the help of my brother acting as the cameraman!).

Partout Website

Partout is a website I planned and produced using Webflow for a fictional product or service. The process included learning and understanding sophisticated web communication standards, utilising audience targeting, content organisation, technical production, user experience and site evolution. While the design and branding was important, the main focus of this project was its usability and UX principles.

JARVIS Motion Graphic

JARVIS was the first motion graphic I made that was integrated into a 3D space. The process involved learning and understanding 3D space through a physical and digital camera, motion tracking, keyframe animation, rotoscoping, colour correction, graphic design and rendering.

The Music Lives On

Visual Interpretation of data is important in digital media. This is an infographic showing the posthumous success of various hip-hop artists. The focus of this was to minimise text descriptions and allow the user to visualise the data, the messages and the themes in this composition.

This Week

"This Week" was my first time using 3D animation software, working with 3D models and integrating 3D motion graphics into live-action footage. Using Cinema 4D, and Adobe After Effects, I created a short broadcasting stint for a fictional YouTube channel called "This Week".

Hendo's Hot Topics

Jack Henderson is a dear friend of mine, and I was lucky enough to be able to create this promotional video for his podcast, Hendo's Hot Topics. The short video is designed for online use over social media platforms.

Apollo

Apollo is a website I made using the html and CSS coding languages. The purpose of the website is to promote a fictional product (I chose an Audio Production Plug-in). During the planning process of this website, I decided to try new techniques and styles. I chose a bold colour palette and decided on creating almost all of the imagery myself in Adobe Illustrator to challenge myself. Though this made the process longer, it made it much more enjoyable.

The Vault is on Fire

The idea behind this magazine spread was to help visualise and support to story. The composition on the right is made up of entirely original photos.

Visual Story Short

Using, Charlie Chaplin's speech from "The Dictator", the aim was to provide visual support for the dialogue. The video consists only of stock footage.

The Intellibox

The Intellibox was a fictional product I created using only the name as a prompt. The product launch video was brought together using Adobe Illustrator, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
